What does it mean to PARTNER with US?  

You’ve seen our beautiful showroom, spoken with one of our friendly designers, or maybe you’ve seen our work on Instagram. Our incredible design staff is eager to assist you with your home, in a variety of ways. 

A few different options…. 

General Consultation– If you have areas in your home that you are looking for a professional point of view, with on-the-spot advice, our design team is available to help. This is an hourly based rate, of $150.00 an hour. The customer can expect general ideas, or consultation on decisions/selections during renovations, or new construction, such as paint colors, tile selections, cabinetry, etc. We can even give you guidance on the furnishings and accessory placement of items you already own. This is a quick, easy and affordable way to get professional feedback, and ideas.  

Project Based Design- To begin the process of partnering with us on your project, our consultation begins as a fee of $100.00 paid to the designer, on that initial appointment, via check, cash or Venmo. During this time, your designer will ask questions and take diligent notes, photographs, and the necessary dimensions. Their goal is to gain understanding of your space, your needs, your budget, and how you want the space to function and look. This initial consultation is generally around an hour to an hour and a half, at most. Your designer takes everything into consideration and begins the sourcing process. Depending on the project, this can take a considerable amount of time, developing scaled floorplans, hours of sourcing fabrics, furnishings, art, etc., pricing and maintaining an overall design within your budget.  Your designer will then present solutions and a comprehensive design to you, based on their professional assessment, and the information and list given to them during the consultation. 

When our designers present their comprehensive plan, it is not only their time invested, it is also their expertise. Our designers take the time to give options and alternatives, within your budget as well, ensuring that you, the client, are as involved as you want to be in the selection process. Our design team is flexible and always willing to make adjustments to the design if changes occur. Fabric drops, discontinued items, are all a part of our industry, and you will have a professional handling those potential issues, every step of the way.  

How to Proceed with the Project? –   

We always recommend purchasing a room as a whole, as when it’s installed together, you can see the greatest impact of the design in your space. However, we know this isn’t always possible. We offer flexibility to our clients to purchase at a pace that suits their needs and monthly budgets. A 50% deposit is necessary to place any order. Multiple deliveries will also incur multiple delivery fees.  

There are often many details involved in purchasing just one or two custom pieces of furniture, let alone an entire room full. We encourage you to closely review your order, with your designer, to ensure that you are getting exactly what you want, as you will be required to sign off that what is listed, is what is agreed upon. Custom order furniture is not refundable, no exceptions, so we highly encourage you to take the time with your designer and understand what you are ordering.  

Inclusive of all items that we have access to….furnishings, art, wallpaper, etc., outside of our initial consultation fee, our design service is complimentary. We see this as an investment into our clientele, with the understanding and expectation of purchase.  

While we will do everything we can to match or beat prices, as a small business, sometimes we simply can not.  To compensate our designers fairly, for their time and talent in bringing the design together, you will be charged a 10% design fee, if for some reason you choose not to purchase. We look for this policy to be a sign of good faith between our designers and clientele, building a relationship of trust, respect and appreciation for all involved.  

Throughout the project, you can expect prompt response and communication with your designer and our staff, within designer’s business hours. We handle damages, warranties, or situations that might arise. At Curated, we orchestrate every part of your project from beginning to end, as we pride ourselves on excellent customer service.
